March 31, 2009 was supposed to be Brett's "final" family and friend visiting day at OSP as Brett was due to be executed on April 7, 2009. These are some of the pictures taken that day. During this visit he received word that a temporary stay had been issued. This stay of execution has since been lifted and he was given a new execution date of November 13, 2012. We would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank the staff of OSP for their professionalism, compassion, efforts, seen and unseen, that made this day memorable for everyone. | During this visit Brett, a newly ordained minister, performed a symbolic wedding ceremony between his nephew Vince and fiancée Manda. It was their desire to be able to include Brett in this family event. |
