| We have been asked many times if there have been "similar" crimes committed since Brett's arrest. To answer that question, we have included the following information. We are not trying to claim this is an "identical" crime, nor do we claim, or have proof, that they are connected. We have included it in an attempt to answer that question, Brett's family find it an odd coincidence, and offer the following for the publics consideration. They would also like you to note that there was physical evidence collected from the scene of Winda's murder that was never connected to Brett, in fact, at Brett's trial the State claimed that this evidence was never collected. Some of you may find the following of interest. Brett was arrested for the murder of Winda Snipes in September of 1997, and sentenced to death row in June of 1998. In October of 2000, another woman, Rachelle Greenwood, was murdered by a Scott Henretty. "Scott Henretty was found to be suffering from a bipolar type of schizo affective disorder" Rachelle Greenwood had lived in the same apartment building, and the same apartment as Winda Snipes. Both Crimes were committed in this very same apartment. Brett's family found that the two victims were said to be similar, both possessing friendly, bubbly personalities. Both grew up in, or lived in South Carolina, and both moved to Akron from South Carolina. Scott Henretty was represented by the same attorneys as Brett.
